Job Purpose 

Warehouse Supervisors oversee critical functions of the distribution network that supports suppling Honda and Acura’s dealer body with Automobile, Motorcycle, and Power Equipment Parts. The warehouse supervisor position is responsible for handling the distribution center’s processes to include receiving inbound freight, stocking, picking, packing, and inventory control functions.. 

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Supervise warehouse associates, manage daily activities, and orchestrating workforce to match workload for high productivity
  • Develop associates and provide business vision for world class customer service
  • Create and implement process improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality
  • Communicate with other departments, dealers, transport carriers, and supply vendors
  • Track, evaluate, and report root cause and countermeasures for warehouse productivity to management
  • Responsible for the training of new associates on daily activities
  • Provide associate counseling and disciplinary action as needed
  • Ensure compliance with the company policies, OSHA, health, and safety regulations
  • Monitor warehouse supplies and maintain just in time levels

 

Qualifications, Experience, Skills

  • Associate degree or equivalent job-related experience
  • 3+ years in a job- related field with increasing responsibilities to include specialized areas
  • One to three years of previous supervisory experience including providing training and performance management
  • Previous exemplary performance in a job-related field may partially compensate for lack of supervisory experience
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work the 2nd shift, starting at 3PM/4PM until 11:30PM/12:30AM
  • Proven ability to handle project from creation to completion
  • Good written, verbal, interpersonal and telephone communication skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office and AHM related software/applications
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate
  • Knowledge of automobile, motorcycle, and power equipment lines a plus
  • Ability to develop associates
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent customer service
