About this Position: 

The Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational areas within the Parts Distribution Center. These areas include inbound and outbound operations, inventory management, and operating budget. This position is also responsible for leading a management team on a daily basis to run the operation successfully, to satisfy customers' needs, seeking out continuous improvement opportunities, and supporting system and process improvements to improve the operation.

 

The Manager is responsible for setting ambitious, but realistic, goals for the team for the purpose of improving overall performance. The Manager is the pacesetter for the team and the organization, often guiding the team to pursue goals in adverse conditions while holding the team accountable for results. The Manager enhances and improves processes and policies and calls on associates to challenge convention and established beliefs.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and direct operations team to achieve business targets.
  • Ensure team follows standard operating procedures for all operational functions.
  • Assist in employee appraisals, promotions, compensation and termination based on the performance review.
  • Maintain accurate and clear documentation for operational procedures and activities.
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance review and provide performance feedback to staff.
  • Assist in interviewing, recruiting and training candidates.
  • Prepare and maintain an annual budget.
  • Mentor and develop associates.

 

 

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution, warehousing and/or logistics
  • 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience preferred

 

Desired skills:

  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to evaluate plan effectiveness against stated objectives and produce countermeasures when tactics are not achieving desired results
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at multiple levels (associates, management team, business partners and Senior and Executive Management
  • Ability to recognize and develop talent
  • Provide outstanding customer services and ensure customer satisfaction Develop continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenses within set operating budget
  • Oversee daily operations of team members and provide assistance whenever needed
  • Identify appropriate resources and assign workload and schedules to them
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analyze existing distribution procedures and recommend improvements
  • Ability to negotiate contracts as needed

  • This position will require the candidate to work in both the office and warehouse environment
  • Overtime will be necessary by the workload
