Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Auditor of Warranty Expense Control is to assist the team in daily monitoring of abnormal warranty expense trends, and auditing of dealers. Assist in activities related to both dealer self-audits and dealer field audits (Honda and Acura). Interface with Zone Manager, Assistant Zone Manager and District Manager personnel to evaluate warranty practices at dealerships, address aberrant claims and implement countermeasures to improve accuracy and integrity of future claim submissions.
Assist in dealership warranty expense trends and fulfill any debits as needed while consulting with Zone, AZM and DPSM.
Assist in administering Archiving Certification Program (EAC) in order to improve the efficiently of audits while maintaining the integrity of dealership warranty record management.
Assist in the determination of business rules to be included in warranty system enhancements, including National Claim Scoring, New Warranty System 2, Over / Under Standard and warranty audit databases. Ensure that inappropriate claims are rejected during validation process in order to improve overall dealer claim accuracy and reduce debits needed during audit review.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct self-audits and assist dealership on site National audits
- Data Analyze for dealer aberrant behavior
- Assist Sr. Auditor with administrative work (Dealer notification)
- Field Training / Support
- Monthly reporting to Department KPI
- Identify aberrant Goodwill claims and rectify claim submission
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- BA in business preferred or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of AHM Service Operations
- Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, audit activities, and warranty processes
- Automotive field experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyze data and maintain complex databases
- Ability to review financial statements and warranty claims
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to respond to requests from Dealerships, Field Associates, Managers, Executive Management
Workstyle
- Review repair orders and supporting documentation provided by dealerships (self-audits range from 20 to 50 repair orders, national audits range from 150 to 1,000 repair orders)
- Work environment is high stress and demanding
- Travel requirement is 10% minimum
- Performing National audits entails long 8+ hour workdays
