Job Purpose
The Sr. Project Lead prepares long and short term plans for SEI group based on the Organizational goals and direction provided by manager of SEI. He prepares budgetary plans and resource requirement to optimally deliver the business group’s needs. He ensures that current industry best practices and Honda’s policies and procedures are followed. He works across various AHM and HNA IS groups, external vendors and contingent staff to ensure ojectives are met and provides updates to senior management.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to plan and on time completion of projects
- Coordinate with various AHM and HNA IS Groups to ensure on time delivery of projects. Participate in project planning, review and delivery acceptance meetings
- Assign tasks to SEI vendors and contingent staff. Track progress and take corrective actions, if required. Mentor team members and assist them as needed
- Plan for future business needs and how best it can be delivered
- Provide Status to leadership team
- Budgeting and resource planning
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Business or scientific discipline or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years of computer related systems development and project experience preferably in a user-oriented environment. At least managerial experience required, preferably in a technical area. Strong project and program management skills with proven track record of delivering large projects ($1-$5M) are essential. Systems Analysis and systems design experience essential.
- Must be able to understand varying points of view and adapt / develop the course of action needed in order to achieve the mutual goals of all respective parties.
- Must possess strong presentation and writing skills
