Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Principal Architect-software defined vehicle platform to join the FastPort business venture team. The individual plays a strategic role in designing, developing, and evolving cutting-edge software-defined platforms that enable scalable, high-performance applications. Key responsibilities include Architecture, Design and develop SDV platforms, Research emerging software-defined technologies and adapt to the products, work with other key stake holders and team members within the organization, drive proof of concept for new technologies and provide technical leadership
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain the overall architecture of the SDV platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Define technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives and emerging industry trends.
- Technical Leadership: Provide comprehensive roadmap on architecture, integration, best practices, and industry standards.
- Innovation: Promote innovation and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software architecture design teams, product management, and development teams
- Standards & Practices: Develop and grow development standards, ensuring alignment with next-generation platform architecture.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelors degree
- 12+ years of experience in designing object-oriented systems and applying design patterns.
- Proven experience in designing and developing Software-Defined Platforms (SDP)
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, platform development, or embedded systems.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience, guiding engineering teams in architectural decisions.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, system engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, products and technology
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, business judgement, negotiating, analytical and presentation skills
- Strong initiative to align the strategy with wide range of stakeholders
- Start-up environment experience is beneficial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform code reviews
