Job Purpose
As a Sr. Strategist on the Honda Digital Marketing team, the associate is responsible for the strategy, management, development, and maintenance of American Honda’s digital properties, including the Honda Autos, Honda Corporate and Honda Racing websites. With over 60 million visits per year, these websites are primary sources of information for consumers and are core to AHM’s brand and digital marketing strategy including supporting vehicle sales through compelling digital content, encouraging engagement through a seamless user experience, increasing conversion through digital sales capabilities, and driving loyalty through personalization. Key responsibilities include cross-team coordination and communication, and end-to-end project management of all digital marketing content and capabilities from initial strategy through launch.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the strategy, design and development of all vehicle landing pages to support new model launches and brand initiatives, including all UI/UX, creative copy/content/assets, new site functionality and targeted emails. Ensure that marketing strategies, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and KPI goals are effectively written and communicated to agency partners
- Collaborate with internal Divisions (e.g., CX, IT, Sales, Service), Departments (e.g., Advertising, PR, Product Planning, Accessories Marketing, Social Media, Analytics) and 3rd party agencies/vendors to understand and support brand initiatives, ensure content accuracy, and launch new site content and capabilities.
- Manage site maintenance items, including identifying, confirming and reporting issues. Work with agencies in testing and approving resolutions. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation of all content updates and site enhancements to ensure successful launch with minimal defects.
- Provide analytics support to marketing and leadership teams.
- Coordinate with non-Auto teams (e.g., New Business, AHFC, Service Marketing, etc.) to support their digital marketing needs and placements on AHM’s digital properties.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5-7 years in a high-performing digital marketing, website management, email marketing, marketing communications or similar field. Auto experience a plus.
- Strong project management skills, able to take on multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with Agile method and product management a plus
- Strong communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with inter-departmental teams and agencies to achieve project objectives
- Strategic mindset with high attention to detail
- Agency experience or Agency/vendor management skills
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles helpful
- Understanding of website development, content management concepts a plus (hands-on experience not required, but helpful)
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM, digital media a plus
- Familiarity with web analytics and performance optimizations. Knowledge of Adobe Analytics helpful.
