Job Purpose

EX7- Honda Finance is seeking a Sr. Manager of Treasury Services

 

The Sr. Manager will oversee the Treasury related functions in the areas of Capital Markets and Liquidity – Debt issuance, Bank credit facilities, Securitization, Commercial paper issuance, Operations Cash forecast/management and Accounts Payable), Risk management - Asset-Liability Management and hedging strategies and public relations: Bank, rating agencies, and investor relations.  In additions, support Executive Management including the Funding Committee, VP-Finance & Administration, Financial Services Division, Direct-reporting F&A Managers and related Departments, Subsidiaries and special purpose entities.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Vision, direction and strategies of the Company and Treasury Services Group.  The Group includes Treasury Capital Markets and Treasury Operations.  These Departments are responsible for $50+Billions of annual funding, related cost of funds, working capital management, $50+Billions of derivatives(notional), and risk management
  • Advisor to the Funding Committee (e.g., Debt Capital Markets insights, funding and hedging strategies, Investor perspectives)
  • Relationship/collaboration with executive management, and F&A and FS Divisional management
  • Investor (Debt), rating agencies and Bank Relations.  Responsible for representing Global Honda in the above, related activities

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business- and or engineering-related discipline
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) considered a plus
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) considered a plus.  Formal knowledge of financial quantification techniques (e.g., optimization) needed
  • Fifteen (15) years with progressively expanding leadership responsibilities in accounting/finance, preferably in the auto industry (specifically financial services). 
  • Ten (10) years direct or indirect experience in various Treasury functions
  • Working treasury software knowledge (e.g., debt/derivatives, ABS, cash management)
  • Risk management (ALM) experience

  • Communications (3rd party) – rating agencies, underwriters and investors
  • Negotiation
  • TQM (e.g., Six Sigma) methodology
  • Data analytics and generative AI

 

Additional Position Factors:

  • Workstyle: Hybrid (Remote 3 days in Torrance office required)
  • Travel 10%
  • Salary Grade Range:  $170,400-$255,500

Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
