About This Position

In the CVA Inventory & Data Management Unit, the Resource Planning Sr. Analyst II / Team Lead position is responsible for developing, strategizing, and coordinating short and long-term budgets and predictive data analysis.  This role is accountable for the management, strategy, and execution to achieve CVA Fleet Management objectives and CAPEX investments goals.

The Team Lead is also the Project Lead between CVA and IT, ensuring business needs and processes are well defined, meet the needs of the business unit, and properly communicated to IT.  The Team Lead will act as the SME in providing strategic system solutions to existing system gaps and oversee the continuous regionalization of CVA/HDMA system enhancement.  The system responsibilities include maintenance, improvement implementation for existing systems, approval processes and migration of the new Fleet Management system.

Mentor and develop direct report associates to improve job performance and associate engagement as part of the goals for the 2030 Vision.

 

Responsibilities include:

Budget Analysis

Continuous analysis of CVA Fleet Management expenses and investment trends to validate S&GA and CAPEX finance planning for ALL U.S Honda companies and subsidiaries.

  • Developing strategy and coordinate planning efforts of short/mid/long-term budget forecasts
  • Conduct predictive data analysis for Capital Investment and SG&A for 12 Honda companies and subsidiaries.
  • Manage and coordinate the development of budget classification & adjustment processes.
  • Establish strategy with Subsidiary stakeholders to develop chargeback policy for subsidiary vehicles.
  • Communicate data supported insights to CVA Management team to help improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts.
  • Present key findings and propose CVA direction to Executives during monthly Division leader meetings.

CVA Inventory Analysis

  • Manage CVA Niguri (Business Plan) and Vehicle Inventory including Gap Analysis.
  • Oversee the CVA interests during monthly S&PO event process.
  • Manage monthly PDCA of vehicle utilization for Honda companies, anticipate financial impact of Cost Center gaps in planning and identify countermeasures.
  • Analyze month-end acquisition/inventory reports and provide key insights to Executives that will influence direction of operations. 

Systems

Project Management and continuous analysis of CVA system and data to achieve the desired functionality to optimize data accuracy.

  • Lead team of system analysts and ensure CVA systems are effectively supporting current and future business needs by providing clear direction, tools & aids to support daily activities, provide necessary job training, and monitor the team’s daily performance.
  • Analyze root cause and manage testing, validation, resolution & functionality issues of CVA Mainframe database and websites.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, countermeasures, system enhancements and recommendations for existing and future systems migration
  • Lead CVA accessory eligibility strategy and system implementation planning to launch and accelerate model releases.
  • Establish a regionalized Used Vehicle CVA Lottery process including system enhancement, testing, validation, and implementation.
  • Lead the CVA Regionalization Project as the IT Liaison and SME.
  • Conduct AHM strategy for maintaining & updating CVA policies on Honda Intranet sites, including CVA Portal, Honda Web and external vendor sites.
  • Manage the accuracy and maintenance of AHM CVA Motor Vehicle Records
  • Manage HALO UAT & Production testing, validation, and system strategy to maximize existing system functionality
  • Collaborate with BI external vendors for dataset validation and report analysis     

 Special Projects

  • Redesign, maintain & update existing CVA forms. 
  • Develop new forms for business condition changes.
  • Ad Hoc report coordination.
  • Serve as the CVA Diversity and Inclusion Liaison for GA BU

Who we are seeking:

Minimum Experience:

  • 7+ years of work experience in the automotive or related industry
  • 2+ years of managing teams
  • Budgeting, planning, and forecasting company's finances
  • Data analysis, including forecasting and data visualization
  • Generating executive management reports, creating presentations, presenting, handling special projects, and conducting data analysis

Required Education:

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge of computerized inventory control (CICS) and distribution/warehouse operations
  • Advanced in all MS Office applications (Excel emphasized)
