About this Position: 

The Sr. Training Specialist l role significantly contributes to AHM's mission and goals by ensuring the effective delivery of training, enhancing curriculum, managing training center resources, and achieving key performance indicators related to technician development and program administration. This role directly impacts the quality of technical education and the success of AHM's training initiatives.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of Training:
    • Instructor Lead Training at AHM training facilities as needed.
    • Conduct special ILT events as needed.
    • Achieve Senior Instructor level under the HM SIQP recognition program within three years.

 

  • Curriculum development/enhancement Support:
    • Web-based Training: Support the development and execution of the strategy for improving the courses offered for Powersports & Products content.
    • Web-based Training: Support the development and execution of the strategy for improving the courses offered for Powersports & Products content

 

  • Event management:
    • Assist in planning and conducting the National Technician Contest.

 

  • HondaPro Training/eEnrollment Admin:
    • Assign/update DPTS ID numbers for internal AHM staff.
    • Answer dealer and technician questions related to HondaPro Training & eEnrollment.
    • General HondaPro training and eEnrollment site maintenance as needed.

 

  • Training Ctr. Management:
    • Inventory: Vehicles, parts, tools, and fixed assets.
    • Classroom: Training aids and Maintenance, tools, computers, and audio-visual and service-related equipment.

 

 

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 1+ years as technical instructor with a manufacturer preferred
  • Certificate of completion from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) or equivalent program preferred

 

Required Education:

  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent vocational/tech school training certification
  • High school diploma or GED considered with relevant experience

 

Desired skills:

  • Extensive PowerSports division product knowledge
  • Problem-solving, decision-making skills, sound judgement
  • Ability to coach and motivate students
