Job Title    
Quality Assurance Specialist 

 

JOB PURPOSE
Apply metrology methods and techniques for the measurement and calibration of Powertrain gauges.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Calibration and repair of gauging and equipment    
•Manage plant-wide gauging and equipment database    
•Communicate with departments and supplier for gauging/equipment related issues    
•CMM measurement of gauging    
•Prepare gages for shipping to managed service provider    
•Support managed service provider for external calibrations    

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Minimum Educational Qualifications    
Bachelors/Associate degree in related technical field or equivalent experience

 

Minimum Experience    
0-4 Years of experience in a quality role

 

Other Job-Specific Skills    
GD&T knowledge, Calibration knowledge, Measuring skills with various equipment

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
On time calibration of gauging/equipment
Accurate measurement methods and measurement analysis
Meeting calibration deadlines and maintaining accurate records

Understanding part dimensioning, part tolerancing, and calibration methods to make decisions related gauge calibration
Manage calibration activity with on-time performance, accurate records, and use of appropriate calibration processes.
Evaluate measurement process to determine best methods and practice

WORKING CONDITIONS
40% office area (computer); 40% laboratory area; 20% production areas
OT of ~ 4-8 hours per week
<5% travel (excluding other Ohio facilities)
