About this Position:
Collaborate with design from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured with-in the factory’s capabilities while working with factories to prepare and execute the trial phase of the new model development
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the feasibility studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes
- Identify past model problem history, opportunities for cost savings and safety concerns
- Collaborate with product designers to develop most efficient manufacturing process
- Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets.
- Through the New Model development, create and maintain all documents necessary for process, quality, robot/equipment, training to meet certification and support daily production needs for the new model.
- Support launch of the vehicle during initial production at the factory (Trial stage)
- Support collaborative problem-solving activity with team members from final assembly factory, regional new model, and product design.
- Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding for succession planning and team growth.

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or equivalent related experience
Desired skills:
- Excel, Power Point, Catia
Additional Position Factors:
- Generally, first shift production hours, occasional split/second shift support required. 0-5 hours OT weekly.
- 20% Fast-paced high-energy manufacturing environment, 80% office environment.
- Travel 10% per year depending on project location/status
