Job Location
This role will be based out of any of these states: MA, CT, VT, NH, RI, ME.
Job Purpose
The District Sales Manager is responsible for the servicing and sales performance of Acura dealerships in New England (CT, VT, MA, NH, RI, ME) while upholding the Dealership Sales Agreement.
Key Accountabilities
- Achieve wholesale, retail sales and market penetration objectives, as well as other divisional goals
- Conduct in-dealership sales training; improve customer and sales satisfaction levels in assigned areas
- Assist dealers with floor planning, promotions, merchandising, advertising, and other sales consultant responsibilities
- Support dealership co-op program, digital sales platform support and integration into BEV sales and infrastructure
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- 4-year bachelor's degree, business/marketing/communications relevant degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with PC based tools and applications
Minimum Experience:
- 2-5 years' experience in sales-related environment, preferably automotive with marketing and project management experience
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Documented change management experience
- Experience in negotiation to resolve business conflicts
- Direct experience working with outside parties and relationship management
- Experience working with franchisees
Working Conditions
- 30-40% travel, including overnights, occasional requirements including weekends, evenings & holidays
- PC, data analysis skills essential
- Presentation and interpersonal skills are very critical
- Motivation and people leadership skills are essential
- Perseverance and determination in business target pursuit essential
- High expectation for performance without direct, present supervision
