Job Purpose

Lead a focused technical associate development process across all HDMA locations, using exemplary leadership, customers service, organization, and communication skills, thereby contributing to the improvement of the on-the-job performance of technical associates and achievement of HDMA manufacturing characteristic targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the Training Administration team in achievement of department business plan objectivesby ensuring TDP students’ on-schedule completion of program training, and administration ofcontinuing education classes and the Honda Technical Assessment across the region whilecollaborating with Maintenance Equipment Service Department (MESD) leadership. Conductperformance reviews of all Training Administration Team members.
  • Manage regional Technical Development Department (TDD) finances ensuring/enforcingcompliance with applicable company, business unit and department standards for withbudgeting, buying, and received goods procedures. Analyze and report financial performance todepartment and business unit leadership. Suggest actions based on data analysis. Managevendor service agreement processes with Procurement and suppliers.
  • Manage TDD regional systems including learning management systems (HLC, Amatrol, etc.),SharePoint and Microsoft Teams by leading implementation, training, report generation,troubleshooting, and countermeasure activity of these systems throughout the North Americaregion for internal TDD customers and MESD customers.
  • Manage tracking of department’s physical assets.
  • Lead Technical Development Department performance KPI data collection and reporting. Analyze data to locate trends, advise department management at regular intervals, and support PDCA activity.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Degree or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or 5 years equivalent experience.
  • With a degree or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field – 2+ years
  • Without a degree or certificate – 5+ years
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills with a diverse customer base, demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, ability to build and maintain strong business relationships, ability to multi-task. Advanced MS Office skills; especially Microsoft Excel. Strong financial acumen. Ability to analyze data to locate trends. In-depth experience with learning management systems (e.g., SABA, Success Factors).

Working Conditions

  • Weekly OT is nominal (typically <5 hours/week)
  • Travel to other manufacturing sites usually not more than 3 to 5 times per year
  • On-site with some remote work available
  • Open office environment both in the office and on the training floor (where there is some noise and activity)
