Job Purpose
Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA) Regional Packaging is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of returnable packaging for all North America Facilities.
In the Supplier Account Manager Role, you are responsible for strategic supplier & returns improvement, supply chain concerns, customer service and data organization / trend identification.
Responsible for effective two-way communication and collaboration between Honda and supplier.
Additional responsibilities include trend identification, data analysis, and categorization / prioritization of issues.
Key Accountabilities
- Support supply chain investigation and resolution leveraging data and fact-based research.
- Timely first touch, understanding, and categorization of supply chain concerns/issues.
- Partnership and networking with LO supply chain team members to ensure strong collaboration and communication.
- Leverage key indicators and metrics to drive down resolution time and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure effective two-way communication and collaboration between Honda and supplier.
- Promote engagement and ensure completed activity is meeting the expected quality and delivery needs of Honda.
- Create beneficial feedback loop with supplier and strengthen relationship to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify, evaluate, and escalate critical issues to management to ensure allocation of resources and appropriate action is taken in a timely manner.
- Understand the trends and categorize issues to ensure proper follow up for recurrence prevention.
- Organize and format data to support supply chain management analysis.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain field, no prior experience, OR bachelor’s degree in business field, 1-2 years job experience, OR 4 years of experience in related supply chain field.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making.
- Supply Chain Knowledge.
Decisions Expected
- Who do I communicate with (internally/externally) to help resolve this supply chain issue and mitigate risk?
- How do I strategically improve returns flow or supplier impact item to reduce supply chain impact?
- Leverage key indicators and trend data to drive optimal supply chain solutions and improve operating efficiency at RO level.
Working Conditions
- Office/Hybrid WFH environment with periods of local & regional travel.
- On-site work environment supporting the office at RO level.
- 5 hours/week OT.
- Limited travel to other Honda sites.
