About this Position: 
Lead mass production and new model process related functions for stamping and plastics to ensure all process requirements are achieved and documentation is internally consistent.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Mass Production Process Development – Regularly audit process documentation to mass production actual condition. Reflect and address process inconsistencies discovered as needed. Manage process change requests reviewing as subject matter expert.
  • Mass Production Process Improvement – Support production improvement of press run rates related to process inefficiencies. Complete time/motion studies on existing processes for accurate target setting and identification of opportunities for improvement. Establish and maintain a department level map of material and process flows for layout and improvement reflections.
  • New Model Process Development – Establish PQCT, PDDA, and operation standard inputs for new model processes. Attend line trials to confirm optimization of new process layouts. Support audit related walkthroughs of these processes. Support process related inquiries/studies from new model project teams.
  • Who we are seeking:

 
Required Work Experience:

  •  0-6  years of experience based on education

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience

Desired skills:

  • Strong verbal, written, and face to face communication 
  • Process/manufacturing related skills such as MOST, lean, and/or other layout simulation software
  • Computer work such as ACAD, CATIA, and Office programs
  • At the spot collection and analysis of data
  • Hands on support of process review (comfort in manufacturing environment)
  • Ability to track and manage multiple concurrent project/activity schedules

 

Additional Position Factors:

  • Office environment – 50%
  • Manufacturing environment – 45%
  • Travel <5%
  • Weekly Overtime 5 - 10 hours
  • Fast-paced environment requiring ability to change focus quickly
  • Primary working hours 6:30am-3:00pm Monday to Friday with occasional off-shift and weekends required
