Job Purpose

The Honda Development and Manufacturing Production Engineering team is responsible for the operational technology security of the manufacturing environment. The OT Security Cyber Group Lead provides business leadership for the manpower, strategy, and cost resources working with both IT and business users to ensure secure operation across all HDMA locations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Daily leadership of issues, reporting, company maturity and risk index, resource mgmt. and planning associated with the prevention and response of cyber incidents in the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead overall associate development including mentoring associates with specific issues and creation/management of the business areas of the associate development plans and executing or delegating evaluation of associate performance.
  • Lead the creation, management, and compliance of procedures governing OT security in the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead resolution of more involved or cross functional business issues including representation of technical issue to management.
  • Lead business plan creation and mgmt. especially for the technical aspects of the activity and technical content guidance for business themes.
  • Provide backup function to Tech Lead for technical expertise as necessary

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience working with cybersecurity and/or industrial controls systems
  • In-Depth understanding of manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of incident response, security threats, incidents and techniques for analysis
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams
  • Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams
  • Business acumen in a technical environment

Working Conditions

  • Business trips to NA mfg. plants to support regional initiatives and local OT Security associates 
  • 5-10 hours of OT per week    
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required
