Job Purpose
Associate must lead their team with technical expertise, analytical and administrative skills to develop, schedule, and deliver technical training to technical associates (ES, Engineering, PS, etc.) with the end result of optimizing local technical resource skills to improve manufacturing efficiency and plant characteristics.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide Leadership to Technical Trainers and contractors, supporting their team’s development and provide oversight of NA technical training standardization; scheduling at their local training facility and other supporting training facilities / community colleges.
- Utilize Technical expertise for local support to deliver technical training to Equipment Service, Equipment Engineers, and Production Staff.
- Administrative Duties (Associate performance reviews / Business Plan development and execution / Budget development and management / Reporting / Recording / Requisitions / E-Flow, and support other event scheduling for the local Training Center)
- Analysis of training needs, through RCA review, assessment activity, and communication with the local manufacturing site technical associates and leadership to drive technical training development requirements. Provide site with technical support as needed.
- Utilize Technical expertise to develop and maintain technical training, relevant to existing or new manufacturing technologies at their local site including curriculum & training equipment
- Support technical associate workforce development, working with local HR and community education facilities to assist in strengthening associate onboarding.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (engineering technology, electro-mechanical or equivalent)
- 8+ years as a Technical Trainer with at least 2 years of leadership experience, or equivalent related experience in the equipment service or engineering environment
- PLC, robotics, or other electro-mechanical system knowledge, MS-Office, CAD tool (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA), teaching certification (not required), E-Flow process
