Job Purpose

Perform Paint Materials activities utilizing strategic planning and execution to achieve (KPI) Key Performance Indicators and meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and use multiple types of testing instrumentation and understand the data for proper analysis.
  • Assess and understand current used materials and process constraints to develop   planning strategies preparing the plant to meet future formulated material needs.
  • Verify new formulated materials, through testing, visual cues, and process confirmation, ensuring they conform to the specifications set. 
  • Assess and understand material, product specifications and testing requirements to lead or support daily complex problem analysis/countermeasures to ensure SQCDME.
  • Test, evaluate, implement, and maintain controls for current and new formulated products to ensure compliance to product and Honda specifications. 
     

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineer or minimum of 6 years equivalent relevant experience
  • 0-6 years experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Good visual color acuity. Ability to pass Munsell color testing. 
  • Demonstrated strong technical and service attributes.
  • Read and Understand Design specifications and technical testing procedures.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • Continuous Improvement.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with frequent interaction within equipment and process areas.
  • 2-10 hours OT per week
  • 1-2 time per year Domestic Travel
