Hourly rate starting between $36.04 - $41.19
Shift: Second shift & Third Shift
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Consistently maintain all department assets within their operating to environment ensure daily QCDMS target achievement. Technicians are expected to take a proactive viewpoint and demonstrate continuous learning (OJT) to self-evolve. Strong ownership and accountability for all tasks is a must. Other tasks as directed by Team Coordinator, Team Lead and/or Unit Lead.
At Honda, our associates take pride in their responsibilities. A typical day for an Die/Mold Maintenance Technician will include:
- Daily PDCA activity; Solving daily delivery struggles through deep RCA, strong CM implementation,
activity follow-up checks and incident report CM closure - Effective core-time PM activity (Equipment condition monitoring, in process PMs, Zone equipment checks)
- Downtime Call Support (Fast equipment recovery and decision making)
- CMMS (Maximo) Data Entry (Documentation of 90% of all daily activity- EQ change points, DT calls, PM closure, WO generation, investigation and CM activity, meetings, training, and improvement activity)
- Daily Communication (Shift start meetings, feedback for Planner, WO backlog reviews, activity coordination with other shift members)
- Project and Theme activity (using knowledge and expertise to apply theme or project-based improvements to improve dept QCDMS)
- Continuous Improvement (OJT and skill based) (Self teaching, equipment understanding, technical documentation creation and sharing, technical training)
- Non-Core Activity Preparation and Coordination (Break-lunchbreak and off shift activity preparation, line conditions, communication, testing planning, parts preparation)
- Department Pride Activity (Maintain cleanliness of all work areas, tool cribs, machine workstations, and office areas)
- Department 5S activity (Maintain strong 5S for all equipment, tools and maintenance shop, maintain local parts stocking, emergency recovery tools)
- Die/Mold parts, Machine tool and related machinery parts sourcing (Quote initiation, vendor negotiations, parts specification)
- New Die/Mold/Forming specification review and support (Risk assessments, commissioning checks, Genba reviews)
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years Die/Mold Maintenance experience in an industrial environment OR
- 0-2 years Die/Mold Maintenance experience w/ degree or technical certification in relevant field
Knowledge and Skills:
- Electrical / Mechanical understanding. Capable troubleshooting and repair of die/Mold related
components without support. Adept with finishing instruments and hand tools. - Overall experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical components as related to
die function - Understanding of blueprints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics
- Welding Skills: Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and arc welding
- Skilled in performing preventative maintenance and repairing or replacing defective die/mold parts
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, including grinders, lathes, and milling machines
Additional Position Information:
- Fast Pace and at times High Stress environment
- Shift may change with business needs and include working weekends and shutdowns
- Some travel with notice 2-3%
- Overtime as required
- Standing, setting, bending, climbing, and walking on a consistent basis
- Lifting and occasional lifting greater than 30lb
