Service and Spare Parts Manager

General Summary:
As a member of the Product Support team, the Service and Spare Parts Manager develops, executes, and monitors the company’s Service and Spare Parts programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops and implements procedures for determining required inventory levels by geographic region to support customer and dealer requirements and meets established operational and financial performance metrics.
2. Develops and implements pricing strategies and procedures consistent with the company’s plans; continually reviews and recommends modifications as required.
3. Develops and implements a Routable Inventory Program to suppler customer requirements; defines required parts, quantities, pricing and locations; negotiates repair agreements for all parts with repair stations; monitors operations and performance of program against established metrics.
4. Develops and maintains warehousing locations and requirements for all aftermarket stocks.
5. Establishes logistics requirements and assures efficient movement of parts; establishes an efficient order entry and fill process and team; assures regulatory compliance in all material-related activities.
6. Coordinates all part-related activities with dealers and customer as required; assures timely communication and follow-up with all related operational issues.
Education, Work Experience, Certification and or Licensure:
1. Bachelors; degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field of study; MBA highly preferred
2. Background in spares providing analysis, routable exchange/repair programs, spares part pricing and logistic.
3. Prior experience in a start up company environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Extensive P&L experience in business/commercial aviation aftermarket services
2. Involvement in warehouse management, shipping and receiving requirements and Hazmat regulations preferred.
3. Experience in negotiating and managing support agreements.
4. Knowledge of aviation-related export/import regulatory requirements.
5. Thorough familiarity with transport category aircraft materials support, including best practices in material management, warehousing, logistics, and aftermarket customer service.
6. Basic understanding of flight operations under FAR Parts 91,121, or 135
7. Experience working in SAP ERP environment.
8. Experience with Quantum Component Control software highly desired
Physical Requirements:
1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
6. Effectively communicate in Business English language.
7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
8. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
