About this position-
Engineering Staff are responsible for supporting Global Automated Line Control (GALC) systems. This includes tooling selection, tooling controller programming, complex problem solving, countermeasure development, and GALC system loading/updating.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and optimize Mass Production DC tools through torque data analysis (CP,CPK, TRPU), equipment management, and countermeasure activity for daily torque/GALC issues.
- Countermeasure and communicate daily production issues related to torque and lot control .(analyze torque/angle data to understand process capability, review torque/part related drawings to drive counter measure activity)
- Maintain activity tracking database daily providing communication between shifts on important tool related issues
- Lead department regarding calibration requirements. Maintain and monitor all DC tool calibration and schedules
- Lead assigned GALC business plan projects (installation, training, debug, and follow up) to achieve continuos improvement of SQCDM
- Investigate new technology and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative tool solutions that will improve cost of ownership
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- No experience required if degree obtained, co-op preferred
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics); or equivalent relevant experience

Additional Position Factors:
- Ability to travel, both domestic and international

Other Job Specific Skills:
- Problem analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), CAD (Catia, and AutoCAD), Time management.
- Ability to: read drawings/flowcharts/specifications; trouble shoot problems; multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks; work in a team environment as well as independently; and present to varying audiences.
