About this Position: 

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting Honda’s Vehicle Quality department production with LET related issues by monitoring failure trends, determining cause and implementing countermeasures through training and feedback to responsible department. You will also be responsible for maintaining LET hardware by completing repairs and coordinating external repairs when necessary.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support production with issues to ensure optimal line efficiency (minimizing downtime): Ability to identify vehicle and Plant characteristics to avoid LET configuration inefficiencies. Consistently audit the LET process flow to improve inspection pass rate and Associate process flow.
  • Identify process improvement within the manufacturing and LET process flow
  • Reviews and formulate a plan and activities to countermeasure and resolve reports and trends.
  • Cross functional interaction with other departments.
  • Attend meetings (daily LET meeting, monthly progress presentation)
  • Complete maintenance and repairs of LET hardware and coordinate external repairs
  • Support testing by coordinating activity with offline groups and production

Support New Model development including:

  • Entering parts into BEAM
  • Part Number Verification
  • Equipment Verification
  • Stop Ship entry and verification
  • Support ITP verification testing
  • Support PTC tracking during build events

 

 

 

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 0-4 years’ experience based on education

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience required

Desired skills:

  • Prioritization skills drives continuous improvement, good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Basic mechanical skills to remove/install automotive components.
  • PowerBI experience a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with automobile systems, parts, and components
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing environment & Microsoft Office
