Job Purpose
The primary support is for certified fielded products, and the secondary support is for new designs. The focus is on the Control System, specifically the HF120 Fuel Pump and Metering Unit, including associated sensors and any other aircraft engine fuel system components.
Responsibilities will include supporting the resolution of problems encountered during production and field operations, following appropriate regulations, standards, and publications, and implementing corrective actions, including but not limited to design changes per company procedures.
Key Accountabilities

Responsible for working with all parties (internal and external) involved to ensure successful progress throughout the development process.

Completely identify the regulatory and design requirements to ensure product success.

Develop creative solutions to meet the regulatory and product requirements given.

Create and maintain development plans to accomplish project goals including product weight and cost reduction to meet company targets.

The focus will be on control systems, including the HF120 Fuel Pump and Metering Unit, and associated Sensors (speed, temperature, and pressure).

Additional responsibilities will include designing and manufacturing test equipment supporting local testing. This will include the generation of test plans, executing or overseeing testing, data collection, and reduction, and test procedure and report writing.

Support sustaining activities, such as root cause investigations for production and field issues relating to the fuel system and/or engine control system.

Create plans to repair procedures, including substantiations.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required, preferably related to aircraft engine fuel/control system components.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and experience using precision measuring instruments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proficiency with 3D modelling and familiarity with computational software
- Knowledge of control systems, hydraulic principles, jet engine operation, and FAA regulations.
Working Conditions
- Climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Regular exposure to the manufacturing areas, which under certain circumstances require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and safety shoes.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
