Job Purpose

The role of the National Assistant Manager, Marine Dealer Sales is to manage the Honda Marine Dealer sales business and team via the following activities: market sensing, sales analysis and reporting, sales strategy and countermeasure creation, Dealer sales team leadership and management, Honda Marine Dealer relations, Dealer sales channel management, and Marine show support.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in the development of Dealer Sales strategy to meet Dealer sales goals including forecasting, programs, team direction and focus for Dealer sales channels
  • Coordinate with District Sales Managers and internal Honda departments including Logistics, Transportation, Sales Support, Marketing, and Management to execute business strategies and achieve Dealer sales goals.
  • Lead development and analysis of Dealer sales programs and strategic initiatives to drive sales growth into existing and new Dealer channels.
  • Prepare and maintain key information to include data analysis, Dealer contact database, and industry trends to be able to communicate business conditions and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Honda Marine Dealer channel and Honda Premier Dealer program to expand market penetration. 
  • Lead and manage Honda Marine District Sales Managers to create associate enablement and engagement.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent business experience
  • Preferred area of discipline: Business, Marketing, or equivalent
  • 5yrs Marine sales experience
  • 5yrs Sales and account management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Work), SAP experience desired
  • Knowledge of Marine industry, products, channels
  • Business analysis with an acute focus on sales plan development to include forecasting and sales initiative development and execution
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Travel budget management
