Job Purpose

 

As the Manager of Honda Digital marketing, the associate is responsible for the planning, production, development, and maintenance of the Honda Automobiles, Acura Autos, Honda Corporate, and Honda Racing websites.  With over 60 million visits per year to the multiple websites, the Honda/Acura Automobile websites are the primary source for Honda/Acura Automobile information.  Key responsibilities include roadmap planning, resource planning, and project management.  In addition to managing the websites, the associate is responsible for the development of 6 direct reports.   

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Direct, plan and prioritize all website enhancements, content/asset updates and maintenance activities in support of vehicle launches, sales promotions and brand initiatives, ensuring that business requirements are effectively communicated to agency partners, and the brand is portrayed in the most compelling way possible
  • Collaborate with internal Divisions (e.g., ISD, Sales, Service, CX, DSD, Energy & Sustainment), Departments (e.g., Advertising, PR, Product Planning, Social Media), and third-party agencies, to support key brand initiatives and stories, ensuring proper representation on the website and email campaigns
  • Develop and manage website enhancements roadmap, prioritizing all projects and performance optimizations.
  • Manage agencies and 3rd party vendors to optimize team dynamics, project efficiencies, and improve overall quality.
  • Manage team members by identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies, while ensuring a positive working environment
  • Provide support to team members in complex projects
  • Drive the brand’s digital analytics strategy, ensuring the site meets or exceeds established KPIs
  • Assist with development of team associates

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • B.A. or B.S.
  • M.A. or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, website management, email marketing or similar field, with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Communications, UX (User Experience), Data Marketing and other industry education a plus
  • Working knowledge of Agile project framework.  Agile certifications a plus
  • Strategic mind-set, with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong marketing skills, with an understanding of backend website development and analytics (technical experience not required, but understanding of website architecture, content management, analytics, media, SEO/SEM, etc. a plus)
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles, customer psychology/behavior
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing and delivering upon complex, large-scale projects
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and/or direct/indirect reports helpful, but not necessary

  • Achievement of projected targets for website KPIs, including Consideration (Engagement), Conversion (Qualified Shopping) and Retail (Prospect) Rates
  • Successful management and delivery of key projects and new vehicle/campaign launches
  • Productive working relationships with internal and external team members
  • Continuously improved website UX, speed and performance
  • Successful completion of Customer Service Experience and ISD Theme Sheet planning process
