Job Purpose: 

 

The Program Manager of the EYNS projects must be a business builder & leader. The PM leads the internal Honda team, works collaboratively with the EYNS leadership team, owns the end-to-end success of the venture, and makes key strategic decisions. The PM brings together a multi-disciplinary team to build ground-breaking tech and address a long long-standing growing market need.
Complete P&L ownership and collaboration with AHM leadership to agree and deliver on P&L targets (e.g., revenue, EBIT, etc.)

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Set the vision for the company and define the overall strategy from launch to scale, including long-term goals to achieve consistent results and exponential growth
  • Attract, retain & develop world-class talent, including making recruitment decisions of full leadership team, while cultivating a high-performing and agile one-team culture
  • Drive day-to-day operations and align resources to achieve key business priorities 
  • Proactively mitigate business, operational & governance risks while driving continuous improvement 
  • Own the operational budget and manage burn rate while growing the business ahead of market disruptions
  • Manage competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of financial structure, capital strategy & strategic priorities
  • Regularly report updates to the Venture Board and key stakeholders regarding progress on strategic priorities, and collaborate with the Supervisory Board to accelerate progress
  • Establish credibility throughout the customer and partner network through authentic engagement and drive solutions to address core business challenges and serve as external spokesperson and public champion for the business
  • P&L responsibility for the PM. The PM will need to work with AHM leadership to agree and deliver on P&L targets (e.g., Revenue, EBIT)

 


Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

 

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or related field 
  • Master’s degree preferred

 

Minimum Experience:

 

  • 10+ years of experience developing strategies for new business development and executing into operations.
  • 3+ years of experience formally leading others and/or project
  • Track record of building successful products and high-caliber teams from the ground up, ideally in current/prior roles
  • Experience managing Board of Directors and corporate partners through regular updates on business performance and progress
  • Ability to set direction and strategy through different phases of growth and implementation.

 


Other Job-Specific Skills:

 

  • Experience working in a start-up / agile organization which went through platform builds while leading cross-functional digital teams and departments 
  • Providing expert guidance to all functional areas, including operations, sales & product
  • Understand technical concepts and how to factor into decision-making
  • Strong stakeholder management at a C-suite level 
  • Preference for industry expertise and know-how to drive day-to-day operational success aligned to company strategic vision 
  • Has architected companies' vision and short-term & long-term strategic goals 
  • Demonstrated track record of instilling and leading a word-class working culture
  • Able to double hat as a people leader, technical leader and community leader 
  • Demonstrates awareness of technical audiences and how to engage them in non-technical decision-making 
  • Knows how to cultivate talent and create organizational-wide buy-in to the vision
