Job Purpose

The Data Strategy, Governance and Delivery Department Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and managing AHM IT's Data Strategy, Governance and Delivery functions. It is a pivotal role in shaping our organization's data-driven decision-making processes and responsibilities encompass both strategic data management and advanced analytics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Data and Analytics Strategy and Architecture: Develop and execute a robust data and analytics (D&A) strategy aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data and analytics requirements, standards, and best practices. Architect data and analytics solutions that enable efficient data collection, storage, retrieval, and utilization. Enable assimilation, cataloguing, inventorying, governing, and finding of new sources of the organizations’ data and business metadata.
  • Data Governance and Quality: Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance. Implement data quality frameworks and monitor data integrity across systems. Lead efforts to resolve data-related issues promptly.
  • Data and Analytics Delivery: Responsible for managing the unit and/or program(s) that are responsible for end-to-end data product/platform development, from ideation to deployment. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality data and analytics solutions.
  • Advanced Analytics: Enable collaboration with data scientists and analysts to design, develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models, leverage statistical techniques, machine learning, and AI algorithms to extract insights from data. Drive actionable recommendations based on analytical findings. Explore AI technologies and assess their applicability to business challenges. Champion the integration of AI solutions into existing data platforms. Collaborate with AI experts to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Value Management and Reporting: Define KPIs and metrics to measure the impact of data initiatives and analytics projects. Work closely with business leaders to identify opportunities for optimization. Regularly report on the value generated from data investments.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ Years of managerial experience in Data and Analytics
  • 10+ Years of overall experience in Information Systems related field
  • Proficiency in Data Management tools and technologies (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.), Informatica, Analytical tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, QLIK)
  • Proficiency and experience with Cloud Data management and Analytics solutions
  • Strong communications skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business outcomes
  • Experience in management level presentations
  • Experience managing vendors
  • Experience in developing strategic plans and roadmaps
